Enchanted Learning Spanish Theme Page
A picture dictionary with information, quizzes and printouts with vocabulary to identify and to color. An excellent site for student work and practice at home.

Pipo Club
This site is "fantástico" because it involves various skills. Just click on "juegos gratis" and, let the learning begin. Your newfound friend, Pipo, gives immediate feedback. The audio is superb. The student could very well learn simple Spanish phrases by repeating Pipo's questions. Try the games labeled "frog", "fish", or "duck."

A sing-song on saying good morning.

The Spanish Alpahbet
Male voice. Superb for numbers up to one thousand. It has two errors. 700 should be "setecientos," and 900 should be "novecientos." You may want to use headphones for this one. (There a variety of exercises beginning with the basics like colors, weather, and more).

Spanish Via Satellite
A wonderful site. Male voice. Intonation put on each letter is superb. Headphones will be helpful. Please follow the site's instructions on the bottom of the first page, select Macintosh or Windows.

Kid's Math
Another essential site for numbers. Escoja la edad elementaria.

Viva Spanish
Aside from numbers, this site has many other educational features. A female voice calls out the numbers "despacio" and with a slight pause so the student can call out the number before it is said. Great practice. The articles on early language learning provide much information for parents. (Try calendar, weather, etc.)

Literacy Center
Teaches style geometric shape recognition using animated exercises. Select Spanish.

Los Colores
Learn the Spanish names of basic colors by changing the background color.

Instituto Nacional de Ciencias de Salud Ambiental
Students learn about environmental relationships by indicating what is out of order in the picture. Immediate feedback is provided.

National Institute of Health - Department of Health and Human Services
Click on "juegos" to select more environmental exercises. These exercises teach students about the connections between their health and the environment.

Kid's Zone
Bedtime stories. Click on "English" for the English version. You can learn more Spanish as you read a well-known bedtime story to your child.
